Ex Nihilo, Copenhagen

Curatorial Work

Ex Nihilo presents its first group exhibition, Book Salon 2026, centered on photographic publications. Ex Nihilo, located in Nørrebro, Copenhagen, is an exhibition space dedicated to art photography. The Book Salon 2026 is based on an open call, with the selection process emphasizing the personal and emotional dimensions of any visual art form as they unfold through printed matter.

The exhibition brings together a diverse selection of works, highlighting the unique perspectives and approaches of 64 participating artists. From self-published photobooks and zines to more traditional and experimental print formats. The Book Salon 2026 highlights the book as a space for storytelling, sequencing, and artistic exploration, celebrating how visual arts can take shape and expand through publication.
